EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 8 years
ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Coach and mentor a team of QA Engineers. Manage resource allocations, manage daily activities and ongoing project status
- Improve standard operating procedures to ensure consistency in the way we test software
- Work with department leaders to define, maintain, and publish QA metrics
- Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices
- Command a broad awareness of related projects and able to test project individuals
- Grow the skills sets on the team along with setting overall expectations
- Review work and estimate quality assurance hours and timeline
- Communicate unacceptable risks to quality
- Contribute to the success of a self-organizing team
- Work with DevOps to ensure test environments are configured correctly for testing
MUST HAVE SKILLS
- 8+ years of Software Quality Assurance with 2+ years of team leading experience
- Experience using test strategies, test automation frameworks and tools and test methods
- Experience with web service or API technologies like SOAP, REST, XML and JSON
- Solid knowledge of testing techniques to determine appropriate number of test iterations and applying riskbased testing concepts
- Excellent at multi-tasking and able to handle competing priorities
PRIMARY SKILLS
- Ability to enforce testing policies, procedures, and standards across specific products
- Exposure to DevOps tools like Azure DevOps, Bamboo, Jenkins
- Experience leading software development teams that deliver quality software in an Agile environment
- Comfortable leading, making decisions, solving problems, and organizing work for a team
- Ability to listen, resolve conflict, and negotiate with a high level of influence and professionalism

- Proficient at business analytics and metrics gathering
